"Bella" was "slow". She was not really mentally competent. This was attributed to the time she accidentally ingested conjevoy thinking it was Taro. (This causes an intense pain and swelling of the throat, and can be fatal). She was very ill and was never the same after that. That occurred in childhood. However after her death some members of the family thought that she may have had a congenital mental defect. She lived with her parents and then with Muriel all her life. 13
