bullet  General Notes:

William was the first Crow to move into Puslinch - while still living in the Mt. Forest area, William worked in the brickyard at Drew - Will and Magdalene lived in Normanby Twp. when they were first married - his parents farmed in Minto Twp., and hers in Egremont - when her father got a job with the Bell Organ Co. in Guelph, the young couple moved south to Puslinch c.1910 so Magdalene could be near her parents - it was a bitter day when they moved down to Puslinch, and their neighbours, the Smiths, welcomed them into their home for a meal on arrival - while the men fed & watered Will's horses, the women put baby Marion on the open door of the warming chamber of the cookstove to gently warm her up - Crows bought lot 21, r.conc. 2 from Angus McPherson, where they farmed and Will operated a pole business until his son Gordon took it over in 1944 when he was married - the Crow family have been active in Duff's Presbyterian Church, Puslinch - after retiring from the farm, Will and Magdalene bought a house in the local village of Morriston and he took a part-time job as a groundskeeper at the Cutten Club in Guelph - William was a Puslinch councillor, Assessor (1941), and served as president of the Puslinch Agricultural Society in 1933
