  General Notes:

James gravitated to Middlesbrough in the wake of two Uncles and served as a Policeman thre until 1950 whien he emigrated to South Africe where he died 1989, his only son having pre-deceased him. Lawrence the second son, was also a pliceman in Northamptonshrie and he died 1943 as a result of head injuries sustained in the course of his duties, leaving a son only months old. Alan Crow is one of the few left bearing the name. ⁴³
