CROW, Janet 42,43
- Marriage: TAYLOR, James
- Died: 1955, Coldingham Bew Sct 43
General Notes:
Jen, as she was called, spent all her life in Coldingham as a widow and a bit of an old battleaxe. She apparently raised Cain when her nephew Ian, as the endest son, was called Ian James, and not just plain James as was traditional. She had married but James Taylor was killed in the Great War and there were no children. Her brother Lawrence and she were a match for each other, as two of the most awkward ole 'deevils' you could wish to meet! For them to pass in the street in Coldingham without even a word was apparently quite common, and Lawrence - who had a very wicked tongue - used to say how lucky Taylor had been in not returning from the war. 43
Janet married James TAYLOR. (James TAYLOR died on 25 Apr 1918 in Flanders 43 and was buried in Rtne Cot Memorial 43.)
