1881: The census shows Eliza and husband John LUGTON living at Rooms Over Coach House, Edinburgh St Cuthberts. Living with her and husband are two sisters, margaret Fairbairn and John her son 4yrs, also Helen Gordon and son George who is 2.
It seems very possible that John Lugton died between 1889 and 1896 and that Eliza remarried in 1896. 43
