James, according to the notes of Jonathan Kirton, was a "Yeoman of Fremington, born c. 1625, St. Andrews churchwarden, buried 1704."
A book (inspected by CW in Reeth Museum in 2002) contains several references to James and Lucy's haberdashery shop in Fremington, a small village near Reeth. According to Annie Porter (owner of Oxnop Hall), the shop is now a bed and breakfast establishment. 157,211
