Buffalo city directories list Archibald Turner as a joiner at two addresses in the mid 1860s. But the date of his emigration there is uncertain. Archibald Turner's name appears in the seat book of the of the Stocbridge United Prespyterian church between between the early months of 1847 and the summer of 1850.
The The US census of 1870 shows that Archibald and Jane Turner (aged 48) were then residing at 568 6th St Buffalo, with 5 unmarried children. The census entry is problematic.
However - Archibald and Jane had three children before they left Scotland.
Likley that they emigrated in 1851 or 1852 (Burns)
